Dr. Doug Geivett is a professor of Philosophy at Talbot School of Theology, BIOLA University in La Mirada, California. He has earned a B.S. in Religious Education from Multnomah College, a M.A. in Biblical Studies from Dallas Theological Seminary, a M.A. in Philosophy from Gonzaga University, and a Ph.D. in Philosophy from USC. He is the author and co-author of several books including Evil and the Evidence for God, In Defense of Miracles: A Comprehensive Case for God’s Action in History and A New Apostolic Reformation: A Biblical Response to a Worldwide Movement. Geivett is the former president of the Evangelical Philosophical Society. In the past, Geivett has served as minister to college students at churches in the Pacific Northwest and in Southern California and continues to speak in churches and on university campuses on subjects related to apologetics and the Christian life. His research interests lie in philosophy of religion, philosophical theology and epistemology.
