DR. DOUG GEIVETT
Dr. Doug Geivett is a professor Emeritus of Philosophy at Talbot School of Theology, BIOLA University in La Mirada, California. He has earned a B.S. in Religious Education from Multnomah College, a M.A. in Biblical Studies from Dallas Theological Seminary, a M.A. in Philosophy from Gonzaga University, and a Ph.D. in Philosophy from USC.
He has written or edited several books and spoken on issues related to the New Apostolic Reformation, Christian apologetics, and the Christian life to audiences all over the world. The titles of some of these books are Evil and the Evidence for God, Contemporary Perspectives on Religious Epistemology, In Defense of Miracles: A Comprehensive Case for God’s Action in History, A New Apostolic Reformation: A Biblical Response to a Worldwide Movement, Super Apostles and his newly published book, Counterfeit Kingdom co-authored with Holly Pivec.
Geivett is the former president of the Evangelical Philosophical Society. He has served as minister to college students in the Pacific Northwest and in Southern California and continues to speak in churches and on university campuses on subjects related to apologetics and the Christian life. His research interests lie in philosophy of religion, philosophical theology, and epistemology.
ALISA CHILDERS
Alisa was born in the San Fernando Valley, CA to Karen and her husband, pioneer Christian artist, Chuck Girard. While still a young woman in the late 1990s, Alisa and two friends formed the group, ZOEgirl who signed with Sparrow Records in 1999. ZOEgirl went on to become one of the fastest selling debut artists in the label’s history, even winning the New Artists of the Year at the 2002 GMA Dove Awards. After seven years together, the group amicably split and remain friends.
Today, Alisa is a wife, mom, author, and speaker and writes a popular apologetics blog for doubting Christians and honest skeptics. Her blog post “Girl Wash Your Face? What Rachel Hollis Gets Right…and Wrong” received more than one million views.
Her first book, “Another Gospel? A Lifelong Christian Seeks Truth in Response to Progressive Christianity” was released in October 2020 and describes Alisa’s journey over the last several years as she wrestled with questions that really strike at the heart of what it means to be a Biblical or historic Christian. It has become a best-seller. She also co-authored with Tim Barnett, “Deconstruction of Christianity and her latest book, “Live Your Truth and Other Lies” was published in 2022.
Alisa is a popular speaker at apologetics and Christian worldview conferences, including reThink. She has been published at the Gospel Coalition, Crosswalk, the Stream, For Every Mom, Decision magazine, and the Christian Post.
ZACK TALBERT
Zack is the Family Ministry Pastor at Crossroads Bible Church. Previously, Zack was a Student Ministries and Teaching Pastor at Atascadero Bible Church, in California, where he oversaw Student Ministries, and taught multiple college classes in worldview and apologetics. Zack also was a public-school history teacher for six years before transitioning to vocational ministry. He holds a master’s degree in Christian Apologetics from Talbot Seminary, a master’s degree in Applied Leadership Theory from Northwest University, and he is currently working on a PhD in Organizational Leadership through Northwest University. His dissertation topic focuses on church and faith retention of Generation Z in the post-Christian Northwest. Zack has a heart to help people work through their doubts and facilitates a ministry environment where no question is off-limits. He is passionate about reaching the unchurched and the dechurched, equipping leaders, and teaching God’s Word in a fun and engaging way.
DR. FRANK TUREK
Dr. Frank Turek is the president of CrossExamined.org. He is a dynamic speaker, explorer, author, and co-author of award-winning books. He persuades audiences of the truth of Christianity with his unique blend of logic, humor, and hard evidence. Frank has spoken at high schools, universities, conferences, and churches nationwide, inspiring his audiences with timeless truths in these truth-less times.
In 2006, Frank participated in an expedition to Iran to investigate what could be remnants of Noah’s Ark. He is also an award-winning author of two books: I Don’t Have Enough Faith to Be an Atheist and Legislating Morality: Is It Wise? Is it Legal? Is it Possible?
An eight-year veteran of the United States Navy, Frank served as a Naval Aviator in the Pacific, Indian Ocean and Persian Gulf. He has a doctorate in Apologetics, a master’s degree in public administration and has taught courses in Leadership and Management at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. He hosts an hour-long TV program each week called I Don’t Have Enough Faith to Be an Atheist. Frank has also appeared on numerous television and radio programs, including the O’Reilly Factor, Hannity and Colmes, Faith Under Fire, Politically Incorrect, Focus on the Family and the Bible Answerman..
DR. GARY HABERMAS
Dr. Gary Habermas is the author or co-author of over 40 books which include The Uniqueness of Jesus Christ Among the Major World Religions, Dealing with Doubt, The Case for the Resurrection of Jesus, and The Historical Jesus: Ancient Evidence for the Life of Christ. Gary has also authored or co-authored 100 articles and reviews in journals and magazines. In the last 16 years he has given over 1,500 lectures in about 100 universities, seminaries, and colleges. He holds a PhD in History and Philosophy of Religion from Michigan State University as well as an MA in Philosophical Theology from the University of Detroit. He currently acts as ‘Distinguished Research Professor and Chair’ in the Department of Philosophy and Theology at Liberty University, where he has taught for the past 30 years. His main areas of research include the philosophical study of miracles, near-death experiences, the historical Jesus, and the historicity of the resurrection of Jesus.
JASON CARSON
Rev. Jason Carlson is the President of Christian Ministries International, an organization devoted to evangelism and equipping Christians to share their faith with those in cults, world religions, and false philosophies. He is a graduate of Bethel University and Bethel Theological Seminary in St. Paul, MN. His studies and ministry travels have taken him to over 30 countries on 6 continents. Jason has contributed to a number of book projects, including the CSB Apologetics Study Bible for Students and Apologetics for A New Generation. In addition to his ministry with CMI, Jason serves as the Senior Pastor at Lakes Free Church in Lindstrom, MN. He has also taught as an adjunct instructor for Bethel Theological Seminary and the University of Northwestern, St. Paul, MN.
